>> Purpose of Establishment

IP DB Center of SoC(IPCoS) is a IP database center established in Korea with the purpose of facilitating IP/SoC industry within the nation.
The center establishes the database using IP/SoC developed by the project 'SYSTEM IC 2010' and other IP widely used within the nation as well as in other foreign countries.
By providing the necessary support to make a wide and also "Standardization & Commercialization of IP", the center aims to be the leading IP database service center in the world.

>> Policies and Activities

As the IP/SoC Total Solution service center within Korea, the activities of the IPCoS include: the establishment and provision of IP standards, collection and testification of IP, provision of catalogs and database services, intermediation of business transactions, and provision of necessary support needed in developing IP.

In addition, the center provides integrated information & value added service concerning the IP/SoC business by carrying out research and business development activities aimed at developing SoC development and testification system.

In particular, the center promotes the development of venture corporations and small-and medium sized enterprises by helping them to specialize in specific IP/SoC.
In the future, the center will aim to provide a variety of IP/SoC solutions by continuously establishing partnership with national and international institutes developing IP and SoC as well as EDA firms.
As a result, Korea will become one of the leading country developing SoC in the world.

>> IP Statics

Celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, IPCoS Center was established in 1998 inside Korea Electronics Technology Institute (KETI) as a part of the project called ¡°A Collaborative Project for Excellence in Basic System IC Technology¡±, also known as ¡°SYSTEM IC 2010¡±.
The Center¡¯s IP business was carried out in two stages. 648 IP in the first stage, and 396 in the second stage, were developed and registered to be utilized. 106 of these are silicon-proved IP, diversely ranging from 0.65um to 90nm process, enabling them to be widely used in SoC development and commercialization throughout the world.
